I got frustrated with Samplette, so I built my own, one that does the job better and is a lot more fun. Press ROLL, get one random record out of 3.6 million on Discogs. Some pulls are weird. Some are straight-up heaters you'd never have found on your own. Honestly, I find the rolling quite addictive.
I first built it for me and my DJ and producer friends. We had so much fun with it that I wanted to share it. I mostly use it to find stuff to flip, breaks to chop, and tracks to play out.
And the important part: free forever, and no Pro plan. Ever. No ads, no sign-up needed.
Think of them as presets. I sorted Discogs' styles into sounds together with producer friends from all kinds of genres. Click one and the app opens with it picked. The number is how many records are in there.
| Sample Casino | Samplette | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free forever. No Pro plan, ever. | Free with ads. Pro is USD 9.99 a month. |
| Ads | None. | Samplette shows its own ads unless you're on Pro. |
| Account | Nope. Favorites and tags stay in your browser, as long as you don't clear its data. | Needed to keep favorites and saved filters. |
| Where you start | 30 ready-made sounds, breaks to techno. | Filters you set yourself: genre, style, region and more. |
| Each roll | One random record from the whole catalogue. Every match has the same shot. | A random track from its feed. |
| Playlists | Not yet. It's on my list. | Playlists with export to YouTube, on Pro. |
I checked Samplette's site and pricing page in October 2026. If something's changed since, it's not on purpose.
Enough reading. Go roll something.
